Events
Our organisation is a constant promoter of Ethics in various professional contexts. We do this not only through training programs and publications, but also, or maybe mainly, through the events we organize and co-organize. This section of our website is presenting all these events we set up or those events where our expertise was put to work.
There are 5 types of events we organize: (i) academic and business conferences, (ii) roundtables, (iii) academic guest talks (lectures), (iv) public debates, and (v) ‘open talks’. Currently, we are engaged in 3 regular conferences of our own and 3 more in partnership with several organisations. Our own conferences are Bucharest Conference in Applied Ethics (1st edition – 2008), International Media Ethics Conference (1st edition – 2017), and Global Bioethics Conference (1st edition – 2016). Our partners’ regular conferences: International Conference on Social Responsibility, Ethics, and Sustainable Business co-organized with Marketer Club, Bucharest University of Economic Studies and Bournemouth University (1st edition – 2012), Romanian Ethics & Compliance Forum (1st edition – 2015) and European Ethics & Compliance Forum (1st edition – 2016), both co-organized with European Ethics & Compliance Association. Lobby and Influence-Peddling for Romanian Public Administration Professionals
On May 24, 2017, Cristian Ducu participated in a local workshop on “Corruption Prevention and Integrity in the Public Sector” organized by the Giurgiu County Council and the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption – Giurgiu. He talked about lobby and influence-peddling at the level of local public administration.

Deşi dezbaterea legală cu privire la prezenţa maşinilor autonome pe străzile publice a început de mult timp la nivel global, cea privind implicaţiile etice încă se lasă aşteptată. Primul pas în România îl facem noi, punând faţă în faţă specialişti din sfera tehnică, din zona juridică şi din domeniul eticii aplicate. Rolul acestei discuţii este, în primul rând, să contribuie la conştientizarea faptului că aceste tehnologii au implicaţii dincolo de chestiunea siguranţei rutiere.
